Mt. Pisgah, Hickory was able to use the Kaelke Fund in a variety of unique and creative ways!

Our workcamp this year was at the Kure beach facility from a Sunday to a Wednesday. With 28 workers, we painted and primed all the exterior doors, bought new welcome mats, and replaced two exterior wood stair ways and several structural repairs. We also put lattice on the decking to help prevent balls and other items from going underneath. Additionally, we added dune fencing, cleaned the beach area to the pier, cleaned the driveway, and added handicap painting and new parking lines. The Kaelke Fund helped to fund a scholarship for one youth and the remaining amount was used to help cover supply costs from paint to decking.
